Job Description:

Our client is a leading manufacturer of Point of Care Diagnostics sold into hospitals, clinics, reference labs and physician offices. In this position you will be selling their full line of products directly into Hospital Laboratories. They are looking for people who have previous hospital laboratory sales A technical background and first-hand knowledge of virology labs and products is strongly preferred. You will be responsible for the Eastern half of the U.S and an ability/desire for travel is a necessity. Target locations for qualified candidates are Atlanta, Baltimore, Philadelphia or the NYC/Northern NJ areas. We look at other areas on the East Coast as long as you are near a major airport

Responsibilities:

  • Grow existing accounts and develop new accounts in order to meet sales and profitability goals.
  • Create and deliver effective sales presentations.
  • Plan, strategize and organize territory for profitability - Develop and track sales forecast for assigned territory.
  • Work with Companies Distributor Partners in growing their sales of my client’s products.
  • Provide or facilitate training on all products to customers and distributor representatives as appropriate.

 

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum three (3) years of medical sales experience calling on Hospital accounts. Previous diagnostic experience is a must with Virology experience a plus.
  • Proven record of accomplishment with demonstrated ability to manage territory successfully.
  • Strong sales presentation and technical knowledge of the Laboratory space.
  • High degree of professionalism and ethics in all facets of the position.
  • This is a heavy travel role and will be a 60% - 70% overnight travel position.
